Bauchi State Ministry of Lands and Survey is to work in active synergy with critical stakeholders for the advancement of the sector in the state.

The Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Professor Adamu Ahmed dropped this hint during an interactive session with stakeholders in the sector. Professor Adamu Ahmed solicited their support to enable the state government overcome the challenges militating against the progress and development of the sector.

He stressed the need for stakeholders in the sector to give their maximum support to the Ministry of Lands and Survey and other related agencies to ensure effective service delivery.


In their separate remarks, the Rector of the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, Doctor Sulaiman Lame, and the Head of Surveying and Geoinformatic Department Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Doctor Muhammad K Shehu pledged their support to the state government and the ministry in particular for the speedy development of the state. On his visit to the Agencies under the ministry, Professor Adamu Ahmed said the visit was to assess the level of their working equipments and other facilities and pledged to operate an open door policy for better performance.

The Commissioner therefore called for mutual understanding among staff of the ministry for optimum productivity. Earlier, the State Head Officer Area Estate of the Ministry, Alhaji Haruna Barau, appealed to the commissioner to provide them with modern working facilities, and to look into the possibility of renovating some dilapidated structures in order to strengthen their operations.


thye Head of lithographic unit of the Ministry, Hajiya Safiya Alhassan Sadiq who described inadequate of staff and facilities as some of their challenges, called for immediate action on that direction. On his part, the Head of the Department of Surveying and Geoinformatics Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, Dr Shuaibu Muhammad, described the visit as the first of its kind in the University and promised their total support and cooperation to the Commissioner to enable him deliver on his mandate effectively.
