Breaking News: Rev. Dr. Dogara Manomi Receive Dissertation Prize at Gutenberg University Germany
The ordained Pastor with Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) and lecturer with the theological College of Northern Nigeria, Rev. Dr. Dogara Ishaya Manomi have been selected as one of the recipients of the University of Mainz's prestigious Gutenberg-University-Dissertation-Prize 2019.
This came following the recent completion of his inter-disciplinary doctoral studies in theology and religion with the highest distinction.
Rev. Dr. Manomi Comfirmed the award with a post on his facebook profile which reads:
I was taken by surprise and couldn't help but cry when my Prof. who is as well the Dean of our Faculty announced that, following the excellent result of my dissertation, I have been selected as one of the recipients of the University of Mainz's prestigious Gutenberg-University-Dissertation-Prize 2019. This was too big to absorb, and still sounds like a dream. In all of this, I feel humbled by how God can help a young man from such a humble educational and economic background to this level of success. Indeed, to His glory, and to my added responsibility. Thanks, now and always, to anyone who has contributed to this journey.
Rev. Dr. Manomi also Comfimed being part of the team and the creation of a registered NGO, created with the sole aim of supporting children at secondary school level, especially orphans, in Northern Nigeria, whose educational development has been hindered as a result of poverty related to ethno-religious crises and terrorism.
His statement reads:
we have established and successfully registered a foundation (NGO) with the CAC, Fed. Rep. of Nigeria. It is called Initiative for Victims' Educational and Economic Development (I-VEED). For more information as to what I-VEED is all about, what we do, our reputable Board of Trustee members, how to support, our joint bank accounts (Euro=int'l and Naira accounts), etc., see our website: www.i-veed.org
At our farewell party yesterday, we introduced I-VEED to our friends in Germany, and are so touched and blessed by the positive responses and support.
I-VEED appreciates every single support, and no amount is too little. Together we can change the future towards an educated, peaceful, healthy, and developing society, starting from our "home" in Northern Nigeria. Being a work in progress, an inter-religious management team to run the daily affairs of the foundation is in the formation process.
